Equine GWAS Atlas: a systematic review of robustness, reproducibility and data availability across equine genome-wide association studies with cross-phenotype synthesis

Date:

DOI

Genome-wide association studies (GWAS) in the domestic horse have been conducted across diverse breeds, phenotypes, sample sizes and genotyping platforms, yet the methodological robustness, data openness and reproducibility of this literature have not been systematically evaluated. This project will produce a systematic evidence map of equine GWAS, an assessment of methodological quality and data reusability, and a cross-phenotype synthesis identifying shared loci, genes and biological pathways. Findings will be accompanied by a publicly available, versioned database — the Equine GWAS Atlas.
